LIVERPOOL FOOTBALL CLUB AND PLAY SPORT COACHING LTD
Play Sport Coaching is working together with some of the best football clubs in England, and over the summer Play Sport Founder/Director and ex-Liverpool and Preston North End professional, Joey Livesey, sent three of our football players (Ollie Lawson, Stephen Dunbar and Brendan Evans) to Liverpool Football Club to attend a football training camp at the clubs Youth Academy. This is where future LFC 1st team players such as Michael Owen, Steven Gerrard and Jamie Carriger were born and only Play Sports best players get this opportunity to attend the LFC Academy. The boys, along with hundreds of other children, were coached by LFC coaches and were continually observed by LFC scouts who identify potential candidates for future Youth Training Scheme (YTS) places.

This chance to attend a training camp at a top English Premier League football club is a great opportunity for young, Hong Kong based footballers who want to consider making a career in football. There are few places for talented footballers to go once leaving school in Hong Kong as there are no quality professional scholarships or (YTS) Youth Training Schemes available here. Therefore, Play Sport is giving a select number of Hong Kong children who display a true talent for football the opportunity of a lifetime. We will be regularly sending children to the LFC Academy as well as other professional football clubs all over the world so are continually looking for exceptional players who show talent, enthusiasm, discipline and commitment to the game to join our fantastic soccer programme.

The Liverpool supporters club Hong Kong has now been active for around 7 years. Born from humble beginnings, the OLSC has now expanded beyond recognition. It proudly has a diverse membership, which includes nationalities such as British, Hong Kong Chinese, Europeans, Malaysian, Indonesian and Indian members.
With an ever-increasing membership, our home is in the Amici Bar, in the heart of the Wan Chai District. The atmosphere on match nights here is electric, and it’s a fantastic opportunity to meet fellow HK Reds who share the same passion!

The supporters club has introduced many different initiatives to engage and involve members. These have included a very popular website, newsletter, fixture-based events, discounts on food, drinks, and clothing, exclusive merchandise, a Club team, charity activities and access to tickets for LFC games at Anfield.
The highlight of our club for 2007 was perhaps the visit of Liverpool FC to Hong Kong, and also our invitation to one of their private training sessions. This was a truly memorable occasion, with 10 young recovering cancer patients meeting their heroes. We have continued to raise money for our nominated charity, Camp Quality.
