Director Profile :: Joe Livesey

Joe Livesey Joe (right, with Liverpool's Fernando Torres and below with Liverpool's Xabi Alonso) has been a professional sports coach for over 17 years working in both Hong Kong and the United Kingdom. He played professional football for Preston North End Football Club in England before moving to Hong Kong to continue his career in playing and coaching. As a highly qualified and experienced coach Joey has taught both children and adults in a wide variety of sports and activities throughout schools and clubs in the UK and Hong Kong. He also has great experience in teaching 'English Language through Activities' to school aged children for whom English is not their first language.

Joey is also a qualified Muay Thai Kickboxing Instructor, Elite Football Coach and Physical Education Teacher. Joey coaches an adult football team that plays in the local amateur league in Hong Kong. During the 2006/2007 Season the team went all year without losing a single game and subsequently got invited to play in the Hong Kong Football Association League division three. Joey hopes to take his team all the way to the Professional League Division One where he will be coaching full time professionals. He still plays professional football for the Hong Kong Football Club himself, and fights regularly in Muay Thai Kickboxing tournaments all over South East Asia.

All this combines into an almost unrivalled understanding of coaching sport and contributes heavily to the success and wide expansion of the company in the past 9 years. He now has Play Sport offices all over the world including Hong Kong – London – Singapore - New York – Macau - Lancaster and Cumbria in the UK. Joey is passionate about the work that he does and is a rare asset to the international welfare of sports coaching organisations. His virtually unique program can offer healthy exercise to all ages, and it is quite evident that Joey is committed for Play Sport to provide the most beneficial physical education available today. As a result his company has become one of the most premier sports coaching companies in the world.
